Perth toddler Cody was left suffering from an agonizing health condition because of appointment bungles at the hands of the WA Health Department.
Cody’s mother Jessica Sullivan said she had begged the Health Department for almost a year to get her son too see specialists because he was in acute pain from a number of medical conditions, including gastroenteritis.
The 33-year-old mother-of-three from Yanchep said her son was twice denied the chance to see a specialist because the letters from the Health Department arrived a day after the appointments were due.
“We weren’t able to attend them because the letters arrived too late and it put Cody’s health at risk,” she said.
