I happen to have a tiny toddler who is obsessed with their tiny
teeth care. To be more specific, ever since her last visit to the
dentist where she received a bit more education on keeping her teeth healthy, and avoiding cavities.
Ever since the visit, she has been quick to come to my mouth
wide open after eating anything that has a hint of sugar in the
ingredients. She is sincerely convinced that cavities will form instantly.
I allow her to believe that as it helps deter her sugar requests and in a way helps keep her tiny nibblers healthy.
Now, while this tiny bit of a deception is quite cute at the most,
it’s not the best way to encourage healthy teeth care practices, especially if you want them to be instilled for a lifetime.
Instead, take a look at a few better ways to encourage healthy teeth care in toddlers.

Express the importance of healthy teeth
First and foremost, in order to instill the importance of healthy
teeth in your toddler, you must first express to them the
importance of teeth care. Besides, as an adult, you have more
concern and consideration for things that you actually know a bit about, right? Well, our little people operate the same.
Get creative
We wouldn’t want the plaque ninjas to take over, now would we?
Little boys seem to always find enjoyment in defeating the bad
guy, so certainly it will be the same with fighting plaque and preventing cavities, besides they are the bad guys of our mouth.
